Protect the Muzzle of your gun, Ultimate Bore Protection

Nothing ruins a hunting or shooting trip faster than having a rifle barrel full of crud, mud, snow, or grass. I’ve used black electrical tape on the muzzle of my rifle and on more than one occasion had it save the day when I fell in slick conditions and rammed my barrel into the ground. While electrical tape works, it also leaves a sticky residue. For some reason on a stainless barrel that was bead blasted matte, it removed the stainless matte and made it shiny. Electrical tape has done the job but leaves a little to be desired. I guess covering the hole in the end of my barrel wasn’t what it was designed for. JP SRTS Short Range Tactical Sight Review

Earlier this year at the 2010 SHOT Show I shot the nicest AR I’ve ever fired. The recoil impulse was incredibly smooth, the trigger was light and crisp…. I could go on. I came back and posted a video of shooting the JP Enterprise CTR-02.  JP Enterprise had a backup iron sight system mounted on the CTR-02 that I shot, and I thought it was neat. I hadn’t ever seen one locally and figured that there are other people who were also unaware.  They call it the JP Short Range Tactical Sight (JPSRTS).

M. Werks, LLC F/TR Bipod Review

The first time I spoke with Jeff at M. Werks, LLC  I called to ask him about his bipod conversion that worked with a Versa Pod mount. He told me that he was no longer producing it. I was disappointed. The options for F/TR style bipods are limited and if you have a budget, even more limited.  We agreed while talking that there was potential demand for a good F/TR style bipod.  A few weeks after our talk Jeff called me and told me he was working on a complete bipod system.  That was the begining of  the M. Werks F/TR Bipod. Continue reading M. Werks, LLC F/TR Bipod Review

XRail Shotgun Magazine Extension System – SHOT Show 2010

Check out our video of the XRail by RCI Shotgun Magazine Extension System we took while at the 2010 SHOT Show. This is a great idea for military, police, home defense, or open class competition shooters.  XRail has a magazine or adapter to make one of their high capacity systems fit just about any popular shotgun. There are options; you can increase your round capacity by just a few, or load more than an entire box of shells with the 30+1 magazine.  The magazines have a unique  auto-indexing feature that automatically rotates the feed tubes while you shoot. Glock G22 GEN 4 Review

If you’re reading this article, you probably already know something about Glocks and would like to skip the part where we talk about what they’re made of and how many militaries and police departments around the globe use them.   I’ll start with the changes and the important stuff and then address  the over-discussed details that absolutely must be found in every article on a Glock handgun.

Glock G22 GEN 4 .40 S&W

As of right now, February 2010, the Glock GEN 4 is only available in the G22 and G17. The G22 is chambered in .40 S&W and is considered a “standard” size Glock. The G17 is chambered in 9mm (9x19mm) and is also considered “standard” size.  Glock is planning on releasing the GEN 4 in all of their models. As far as time frame goes, they will release the G19 and G23 this fall. The next models have yet to be determined and I was told their release will be based on demand.
